FCC Library: Faculty Services

Instructional Services

Have a research assignment? Request a Library Instruction Session!

Three types of sessions all of which can be tailored to your specific course and assignment:

  • Full-Class Session: We can tailor an entire class session to an assignment and introduce information literacy concepts.
  • Drop-In Visit: A 15 to 30 minute session with demo of one subject-specific resource
  • Research Visit: Providing time in class for students to research? Include a Librarian to work one-on-one with students and help them find resources.

Librarians are available from 7:30am - 7:00pm. Sessions can take place in the Learning Commons or your classroom (including High Schools) and should be scheduled during your normal class time. Faculty are asked to be in attendance for the entire session.

For orientations to the Learning Centers (Tutoring & Writing Center or STEM), please use the Learning Center Orientation Form.

Ask our Digital Resources Librarian about creating a course or subject specific research guide to have embedded directly into your Blackboard course.

  • Current Subject and Course Guides can be found on our Research Guides homepage

We are always happy to receive recommendations for the Collection that will support your teaching and your students research needs! Selection criteria can be found in our Collection Development Guidelines:
