2019 Tech Connect Applications for Tuition Free IT Training Now Being Accepted

America's Promise Tech Connect is a tuition-free IT training program designed to prepare qualified individuals for in-demand entry-level IT jobs. Now accepting applications for 2019 classes, the program includes free textbooks, certification exams and job placement support services.

With three different subject “tracks,” the program is designed to accelerate students into an exciting new or next-level career in IT through immersive learning and real time work scenarios.

These tracks include Cisco Certified Network Associate, IT User Support Specialist and Health IT & Management Systems Technician.

Using industry best practices to solve on-the-job challenges, participants receive hands-on training and instruction to prepare for industry credential testing. Tech Connect also provides career guidance and job placement support for all participants during the program.

Qualified applicants encouraged to apply are Maryland residents currently unemployed, underemployed or are incumbent workers holding high school diploma or GED. Additionally, pre-requisites ensure applicants are able to successfully demonstrate current IT aptitude. Veterans of the Armed Services are highly encouraged to apply.
