Registration Open for Kids and Teens Summer Programs at FCC
02/21/2020
Registration is now open for interactive summer programs at Frederick Community College for children and teenagers aged six to 15 years old. There are options for half-day or full-day schedules, with before and after care also available for the first time this year.

“FCC prides itself on offering educational opportunities for all our community members, and that includes children and teenagers,” FCC President Elizabeth Burmaster said. “It is a highlight of our summer each year to have so many young people bring their energy to FCC and enjoy our interactive learning programs.”

The Kids on Campus and Teens on Campus programs offer hands-on engaging classes designed to keep children and teens academically engaged during the summer months while also having fun. Classes are available in a variety of topics, including science, technology, culinary and creative arts, music, fitness, the outdoors, and more.

There are additional classes at the FCC Monroe Center for middle school students focused on technical skills and career exploration.

“FCC has been a destination for educational summer fun for 25 years and each year we add new and exciting classes to keep up with what kids and teens are interested in,” Karen Freeman, FCC Youth Programs Manager said. “We also know many working parents need more flexibility and all-day options, so this year, we’ve added before and aftercare, meaning parents can build a schedule that works for them and have coverage starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.”
