The Medical Coding program prepares students for AAPC certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Students learn how to use the coding manuals for CPT, ID-10, and HCPCS to describe and document medical services accurately. Students will learn the life cycle of a billing claim and how medical insurances work with the billing process in a physician’s office.
