FCC fall classes will be delivered primarily online to maintain public safety. Face to face instruction and student interactions will only be conducted when it is necessary, required, and feasible to do so in a safe environment. Classes will be offered in online, structured remote, and hybrid learning formats. Comprehensive student resources remain available remotely to deliver College services to students.

On July 6, 2020 FCC entered Stage 1 of the Frederick Community College Roadmap to Resilience and Recovery plan. The College community adhered to the requirements of Stage 1 of the plan and successfully moved to Stage 2 on September 21, 2020. Additional information is available here.

About Us

Counselors and advisors offer guidance and support throughout the College experience, helping students identify plans, pursue aspirations, and achieve success. Counselors and advisors help students find solutions when problems arise, and celebrate accomplishments when challenges are overcome.

Working together, we support students in realizing their personal, academic, and career goals. We also connect students with information, tools, and resources that encourage self-directed learning.

All new students to college, including previously dual enrollment students, are introduced to Counseling & Advising Services during ROAR. Incoming transfer students and current FCC students should make an appointment with their assigned advisor under the Counseling & Advising appointment options.

  • Build an individualized plan for success
  • Connect to College resources and services

  • Discover short-term and long-term career goals
