Cost of Attendance
Cost of Attendance 2024-2025
What makes up the cost of attendance?
The cost of attending college is more than just direct costs of tuition and fees. It includes indirect costs such as books, course materials, supplies & equipment, housing and food, childcare, transportation, personal expenses, and loan fees.
Textbooks
It’s important to factor in the cost of books, course materials, supplies & equipment when registering for classes and budgeting your expenses for the semester. Many courses require the purchase of books, course materials, supplies & equipment that you will need to be successful. The cost and number of materials required vary from course to course. Books, course materials, supplies & equipment may include such things as uniforms and equipment, eBooks, access codes, subscriptions, art supplies, lab manuals, and textbooks.
A few options are available when considering buying books.
New Textbooks. New books are full price but are in perfect condition. Buying new gives you the chance to take your own notes and make your own marks in a book.
Used Textbooks. Used books are less expensive and are still in good condition. They may have notes or highlighting from a previous owner, but are a more affordable option over new books.
Please note: You may use financial aid to order books, course materials, supplies & equipment from the FCC Bookstore in person or online. To use your financial aid, please visit the College Store with your student ID. If you order online, you will have to quickly create and confirm your account, entering Student Web Charge as the payment method at checkout.
Textbook Buyback. Selling your books back to the FCC Bookstore enables you to recoup a portion of your money. Not all books can be bought back, and there are factors that determine how much a book can be bought back for.
