Frederick, MD – May 7, 2025 – The red carpet rolls out once again at Frederick Community College (FCC) as the Film & Video Production program proudly hosts the Third Annual FCC Student Film Festival on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Jack B. Kussmaul Theater, located in the Visual & Performing Arts Building on the FCC campus.
This free event showcases original short films and animations created by FCC students as part of their coursework in film and video production. The festival offers a rare opportunity for these emerging filmmakers to present their work beyond the classroom and engage with a live audience of friends, family, and community members.
"We’re incredibly excited to give our students a platform to share their films with the community," said Jason Santelli, FCC Film and Video Production Program Manager. "This festival not only celebrates their creative achievements but also underscores the hard work and dedication they’ve poured into their craft."
Featuring more than 20 student-created works, the festival promises a night of storytelling, visual artistry, and bold ideas—each film reflecting the diverse voices and perspectives of FCC’s student filmmakers.
Whether you’re a film enthusiast, a supporter of local talent, or simply looking for an inspiring evening out, the FCC Student Film Festival is an invitation to experience the creative energy of the next generation of storytellers.
