Pro Bono Day
02/26/2024

Frederick Community College's (FCC) Paralegal Program is partnering with the Frederick County Register of Wills and local attorneys to offer free legal services on Pro Bono Day. The event will be held March 21, 2024 from 4-8 pm at FCC in the Catoctin Hall Atrium.

The pro bono services being offered include simple will preparation, advanced directives, and power of attorney (financial and medical). Informational sessions from the Register of Wills will also be offered. Participants will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with volunteer attorneys.

“I am honored to be working with Frederick Community College and very thankful to the attorneys who are giving their time to help the community of Frederick County,” said Register of Wills Mary C. Rolle.

“Pro Bono Day on campus is a longstanding partnership with local legal stakeholders that provides FCC paralegal students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience implementing the knowledge and skills they have gained through their education,” said Dr. Tracy Parker, FCC Paralegal Program Manager. “They are able to put their knowledge into practice while learning from experienced attorneys and providing a valuable service to the community.”
