FCC is approved for the training of eligible veterans, their dependents, and active duty personnel by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA, 267-284-5000. The College completed its last decennial institutional self-study in 2016 and its re-accreditation was reaffirmed by the Middle States Commission in June 2016. The FCC Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326. The FCC Surgical Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs 25400 US Highway 19 N., Suite 158, Clearwater, FL. The FCC Respiratory Care Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), P.O. Box 54876, Hurst, TX 76054-4876.

Frederick Community College is subject to the conditions imposed by State, Federal, or commercial entities, or other requirements related to obtaining credentials in a given field. These include requirements for prospective students in these programs: Addictions Counseling, American Sign Language Interpreter, Biotechnology, Certified Nursing Assistant, Criminal Justice, Dental Assistant, Education, Fire Science, Human Services, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Police Science, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology.

All new students are required to submit the electronic VMS intake form prior to scheduling an appointment. Once you submit the intake form, we will email you a checklist of “next steps” to complete along with the link to schedule an intake appointment with a VMS staff member.
